One small thing: Start your day with simple movements for the spine

Although I am a morning person and like to start my day with my own practice that includes some gentle yoga and Pilates exercises among the exercises, I understand that not everyone is a morning person. They don't get out of bed and want to exercise before they have their morning coffee. Some people need more time to "wake up" and get into a rhythm.

But, especially after 50 , body movement and morning spinal mobility are more than beneficial, they are essential. They are the key to less pain during the day, better posture, greater flexibility, easier breathing and most importantly, more energy and enthusiasm for what lies ahead.

The first thing I would suggest is to get up a little earlier, as much as you can, to give yourself time to move your body, without pressure. A few simple, gentle movements are enough to "unlock" the body and start the flow of energy .

It can be as simple as a natural stretch like raising your arms high and stepping on your toes. Or some simple spinal movements like small twists and turns of the torso, bends and stretches. Even five minutes is enough to bring you in touch with your body and your breath. This little morning time can transform your entire day.

And one more thing : by dedicating these few minutes to yourself, you are reminding yourself that care starts from within . The relationship with your body and yourself is the foundation for every other relationship. Give this time-space to that connection.
